As Transition Team support Contractor in BRAC 91 and BRAC 95, Sabre was responsible for the planning, documentation and execution of major facility
realignment and closures including R&D laboratories, libraries, equipment, warehouse and offices.
- Developed program transition plans and schedules
- Correlated MILCON schedules with Mission Transition window-of-opportunities
- Developed office space assignments into new / renovated buildings using workforce sizing projections
- Collected technical facility space / utility requirements
- Developed move options for specialized facilities
- Developed plan for safe transfer of 7000+ hazardous material items (using DOT standards)

BRAC 05
Today, BRAC 2005 brings new challenges Sabre understands the current BRAC 2005 recommendations, statutes and regulatory constraints.
Our BRAC Program Managers are actively involved in several BRAC 2005 initiatives including data call response and metrics development, congressional interface and strategic planning.

Sabre Supporting Navy BRAC Joint Basing
Sabre joined the team to support Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC) in implementation of joint basing as directed by the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure law. Under this initiative, DoD will be realigning 25 military bases from all services into twelve joint bases. Sabre will also be:
- Representing N3 leadership at Joint Basing and BRAC exercises and policy briefs
- Participate in table top exercises that will be instrumental in shaping implementation policy and identifying the joint basing challenges to be overcome
- Providing expert advice in the area of Joint Basing organization, realignment, resource allocation, risk mitigation and implementation in several locations
